If you visit this place, which is about 55 miles northwest of Denver and about a mile south of heaven, there is plenty to do. You can step outside the front door of your cabin and toss a line into the gurgling Big Thompson and if you are lucky, you can pull out a beautiful, foot-long rainbow trout. You can walk out back to the stables, and ride a horse up Giant Track mountain, to gawk at God's handiwork below.
You can get in your car and, in five minutes , be hiking up a trail in rocky mountain national park, to photograph grazing deer and elk. You can haul the kids into Estes Park, a resort town just three miles away, to eat pizza or buy souvenirs or ride the suspended cable cars up the mountain. Or you can just sit on your cabin deck, as the sun disappears on a cool evening, and wonder why your aren't smart enough to live here.
